This seems to be a popular feature request, and has been experimented with in other “flavors” of EaaS so should be possible in EaaSI. However there are multiple possible approaches (shared folders? live-mounting a blank + writable disk image to a spare drive? automated/scripted interaction with Environments?)

We could use some upvotes and guidance to indicate _how many_ current users are interested in this feature, and also _how_ you might want to see it implemented!

We can assume that users would want/need the ability to limit the availability of this feature in some circumstances (e.g. Content Environments in which digital collections items are mounted). Any thoughts?
