Can your team think about adding FS-UAE to the hosted pilot? It is available on EaaS.
We have a lot of Amiga disks that we are working through. Right now I am using free-standing FS-UAE. It would be great to see it in the hosted pilot. For one thing, to make it easier to provide access to the disk images to some of my users.
Thanks!
Hi Cynde,
The word from Klaus is that we should be able to incorporate FS-UAE into the hosted edition, but it will have limited options for configuration and creation of new environments. We’re currently planning an overhaul to the environment configuration workflow in the UI so the incorporation of FS-UAE may have to follow that update. How urgent is the need for FS-UAE support?
Seth
FS-UAE is more nice to have than must have now. It would enable me to test using the hosted node to share configured environments running media arts with the artist themselves.
Right now, I have been making a portable FS-UAE with the environments configured to their artworks, and then working with the artist to help them figure out how to download and use the emulator. Not that difficult to me, but it may be obtuse to a more casual computer user.
I would like to compare the two strategies, and see whether sharing the configured environment via EaaSI Hosted Node makes any more sense to a user.
