Our next “monthly” (now bimonthly) call will be in approximately three weeks, on June 7. In keeping with our recent agendas, I’m putting out an open call for EaaSI-related demos or discussion from the community. We heard from Cynde re: video games, the Play It Again project, and the burgeoning AusEaaSI network in February; and had a lovely discussion with the SPN Metadata Working Group in April re: their recently-published Software Metadata Recommended Formats (SMRF) guide!
If you’ve got an emulation use case, workflow, or curation question you’ve been thinking through at your organization and would like to discuss in more detail with other EaaSI users, please let us know! How are you using EaaSI?
Discussion can be as formal or informal as you wish - Jessica and myself will be happy to work with you to shape and facilitate the call agenda.
Please note that though we will circulate some program updates in an announcement/reminder post ahead of time, we will be dedicating a significant portion of June’s call to details regarding “Phase 3” of EaaSI, plans for our next round of Mellon and Sloan funding, and time for related discussion and Q&A. So we will be looking to limit community demos this time to ~10 minutes at the most. If you’d like to spend more time on your topic, or if we get more than one person/node interested, we will make sure to get you penciled in for the next call in August
