Hello, dear @eaasi-alliance members!
I hope everyone is squeezing in some relaxation time as summer winds down. This is a reminder that since our August call was cut short, we have elected to re-convene our next EaaSI Network call ahead of the usual bimonthly schedule; so our next meeting is 2023-09-05T20:00:00Z→2023-09-05T21:00:00Z at 4pm ET / 3pm CT / 1pm PT! (We will resume our normal every-other-month pace after, so the final meeting of the year will be the first Tuesday of November)
The pinned EaaSI Bimonthly Network Call info post has been updated accordingly with the relevant Zoom info and an adjusted ICS you can add to your calendar.
(You may need to manually remove the older calendar invite; we are no longer meeting the first week of October!!!)
Some apologies in advance, but in addition to this usual, general reminder to the group, I will be attempting to follow up with as many of you individually as possible over the course of the next week or so to confirm if you can attend. This will be a very special call - not only will it be @wendy.hagenmaier 's first official meeting as our new Program Manager, but it will be the last for @ecochrane as the EaaSI program’s PI, as he is leaving Yale University on Sep. 15.
So in lieu of another written team update I’m including the agenda for our call below. Given this moment of transition, Wendy and I would very much appreciate the opportunity to reflect with you all - what’s worked in the first five years of EaaSI? What do we need to work on? Where can we take all the incredible expertise and experience continuing on in this community and grow in the coming months?
Hope to see you there!
Agenda:
-
Team news (5-10 min)
- Welcome, Wendy!
- Farewell, Euan!
- Staff reshuffling at Yale, OpenSLX

- Who’s someone who doesn’t know about EaaSI yet, but should? (Professional org, local committee, individual, publication)

- I want to learn more about the EaaSI software and how to use it
- I want to teach others about the EaaSI software and how to use it
