Greetings, dear @eaasi-alliance members and @us-hosted users!
Time flies! We are almost in March already, and our next EaaSI Network call is right around the corner on 2024-03-12T20:00:00Z (that’s 4pm ET / 3pm CT / 1pm PT!) The EaaSI Bimonthly Network Call Info pinned post should have all the necessary Zoom connection info, and an event you can export from Discourse to your calendar.
As usual, we will provide updates on recent progress of the EaaSI program towards a sustainable post-grant model, among other team efforts. Our primary focus and topic of discussion will be our recent updates to the EaaSI Product Roadmap (see some further context from @wendy.hagenmaier here if you missed the announcement: Announcing the 2024 EaaSI Product Roadmap), and how we have been resetting development documentation and planning with the OpenSLX team. We believe the transition off grant funding is an opportunity to provide more granular and continual updates on feature development, and in addition to providing a detailed plan for what improvements to expect and when in 2024, we’d love to have a discussion with you all regarding participation in open source software development at your organizations, and the best way to ensure the community has capacity to provide running feedback on the Product Roadmap!
We hope to see you there - as always, if you or a colleague are having any issues with the Forum and/or Zoom or calendar access, please drop me a line either directly in the Forum or at ethan.gates at yale.edu!

- Questions for EaaSI users:
- How do/have you contributed to other software product development? (particularly open source projects, but potentially with proprietary vendors as well)
- What are the most efficient and/or the most meaningful methods to provide feedback on feature design and functionality?
- Any barriers or thoughts encountered in gathering feedback when showing EaaSI to others?
